Journey of gratitude and alleviation of Agent Orange pain at Vietnam Friendship Village

In response to the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Vietnam Engineering and Industry Group Joint Stock Company (Intech Group) in collaboration with Intech Wish Fund organized a special charity program called ”Journey of Gratitude”.
The program is a sincere thank you to the veterans who have dedicated their youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. At the same time, this is also a bridge of humanity spreading love and sharing with those who have suffered many losses and disadvantages due to the consequences of war at the Vietnam Friendship Village.

Intech Group spreads humanistic values through practical volunteer actions
Vietnam Friendship Village was established on March 18, 1998 by the decision of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now the Government), under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Located peacefully in the suburbs of Hanoi, Friendship Village is a warm home for warm hearts, where children affected by Agent Orange are cared for and nurtured, treated, and rehabilitated for veterans (CCB) due to the consequences of Agent Orange/Dioxin exposure during the American invasion war in Vietnam who are currently facing many difficulties in life.

With the humane message "Journey of Gratitude", the program presented gifts worth 20 million VND and 60 gifts to the veterans who are being treated at the Friendship Village as a deep gratitude to those who sacrificed for national independence.

At the Friendship Village Hall, exchange and entertainment activities such as painting statues, drawing pictures, blowing balloons, etc. were organized for disabled children affected by Agent Orange. The volunteer group also had the opportunity to listen to touching stories from veterans, learn about their journey to overcome the pain of war and visit areas such as charity houses, vocational training centers, medical centers, etc.

Although the time was not long, with all sincerity and sharing, Intech staff spread love through practical actions, warm smiles and enthusiasm in every activity, contributing to bringing a meaningful day to the veterans and children here.

Admiring the persistent efforts of the staff of Friendship Village, Mr. Hoang Huu Yen - General Director of Intech Group expressed: "The humane activities of Friendship Village clearly demonstrate the morality of 'When drinking water, remember its source', is a symbol of deep gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, and at the same time actively contributes to overcoming the consequences of war." He also expressed his hope that Intech Group can continue to accompany and make a small but practical contribution to support the Vietnam Friendship Village in maintaining and developing the noble values in this humanitarian journey.
